I am a native hoosier. Growing up in a small town, I learned early the value of hard work, independence and self-reliance. Both my parents had to work very hard, so my brother and I were on our own a great deal at an early age. However, my parents were good role models, instilling in me the virtues of honesty and integrity. I was also fortunate to have some good people, teachers and mentors along the way who helped shape who I am today. I have been truly blessed to live the life I have lived so far.
I love what I do. Orthopaedic surgery is a fantastic field, full of vibrant, smart people who love challenges and like to help people get their lives back! The best parts of my week are when I am blessed to to hear someone tell me how much the surgery we did for them helped, and how happy they are to be free of pain. Moments like these are why I do what I do.
I specialize in joint replacement of the hip and knee, as well as arthroscopic surgery of the knee. Hip and knee replacements are typically done for arthritic conditions of these joints, and can lead to restoration of function and return to a good quality of life. This field is constantly evolving, with new technologies and ideas to improve the procedure and make it easier and better for patients.
