A 32-year-old member asked:

Could be brain issue: It could suggest a problem in a part of the brain controlling how you control your tongue and lips to pronounce words correctly, the nerves that lead from the brain to those muscles, or a problem in the muscles themselves. It is important to get this evaluated asap to make sure you can catch problems early when they may still be reversible. Good luck.
A 27-year-old female asked:

Possibly.: You should see a hand specialist to be fully evaluated. Depending on your movement problems and location of the lacerations they may be able to reattach some of the tendons to improve your movement. The numbness suggests nerve damage from swelling or possible cutting from the same injury, there is unlikely much that can be done about this beyond getting the wound cleaned out and infection free.
A 34-year-old member asked:

Unlikely.: Metronidazole often gives an unusual metal taste in your mouth and can cause you to have a severe reaction to drinking alcohol within two days of your last dose of the medicine. These symptoms can cause nausea, vomiting, headache, rapid heart rate, flushing of the skin, and shortness of breath. This reaction is similar to those expected when taking antabuse (or disulfiram) to help stop drinking.
