Dr. Sprockel is a board certified family medicine physician who completed his family medicine residency at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
He then went on to complete his fellowship training in sports medicine at Texas Tech University, where he served as the associate team physician for The Red Raiders. He has also studied medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Sprockel has experience in urgent care, pediatrics, occupational health and family medicine. He believes that his skills as a primary care sports medicine physician can help expand the spectrum of care provided for patients.
At Athletic Orthopedics & Knee Center his medical focus will be arthritis treatment, concussion management, preparticipation physicals, musculoskeletal injuries (sprains, strains, fractures) and injections among other services.
Dr. Sprockel has worked with the Houston Dynamo and numerous non-profit organizations providing education and medical services. He has also worked with several high schools in the Greater Houston area.
Dr. Sprockel is a Houstonian who attended Clear Lake High School and is fluent in Spanish and Dutch. He is an avid soccer fan and believes that playing sports is a great way to exercise and improve your health.
