I served in the US Navy as a hospital intern training in oral surgery, prosthetics and general anesthesia followed by two years in a polaris subtender and was spot promoted to the rank of Lt Cdmr before retiring to private practice in West Chester.
My wife Susan and I were lucky enough to have four wonderful children and so far eight grandchildren.
I have an ongoing interest in vocal music and currently sing with the First Presbyterian Church Choir and the Brandywine Valley Chorale.
My youngest son designed my first professional website: www.drschwan.com while he was living with his new wife in Nepal. The second and latest version was designed by my older son who was also art director for "Pop Cap Games".
