I started my career as a student at Harcum Junior College in Bryn Mawr, Pa in the Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Program. I then transferred to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine to earn my Dental Hygiene Certificate. I practiced as a Dental Hygienist and went back to school for 3 years. I then attended Temple Universtity School of Dentistry, where I graduated as a Dentist in 1991. After graduating dental school, I did a 2 year residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where I was the Chief Resident. Following my residency, I was a consulting Pediatric Dentist for the residents for 3 years.
When I started my career as a Pediatric Dentist, I worked for Dr. David Bressler and Dr. Stanley Horwitz. For the past 20 years I have worked for Dr. Stanley Horwitz. I am on staff at the Bryn Mawr Hospital and have admitting privileges to provide dental care to pediatric patients under general anesthesia, when necessary. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with kids and adolescents.
I married my classmate, Steve Chermol, who is a Periodontist in West Chester, PA. I have a son, Justin, who is a student at The Haverford School, and a daughter, Madison, who will attend Notre Dame next year.
