Dr. Virant is a Seattle native and completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in 1976. He was granted his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1980, and returned to the University of Washington to pursue his pediatric residency and allergy/asthma/immunology fellowship. He currently is Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Associate Director of the Allergy/Immunology Training Program at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Virant is Board Certified in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as Diagnostic Laboratory Immunology. He is Chief of the Allergy Division at Seattle Children’s Hospital. At Northwest Asthma & Allergy Center he works primarily in the Seattle office, but also sees patients in Redmond and Renton.
