I am an assistant professor of Pediatrics at University of Texas Medical Branch. I see patients at our Academic Pediatrics at Bay Colony clinic in League City, and supervise residents seeing patients at both the Bay Colony clinic and our Island Pediatrics clinic at University Health Center in Galveston.
I love to teach pediatric residents - these are doctors who have completed their medical degree and now are specializing in becoming pediatricians. It is great to watch them develop the same type of close relationships with their patients and families that I value.
As a mom of two children, I also understand the "practical" side of parenting. I have "been there" when my child wouldn't sleep, was throwing up all night long, was having a severe asthma attack, or was stomping out of "time out." I understand the joys and frustrations of parenting! I try to be very involved in their education at school. I love spending time with my children, and also volunteering in their activities (currently with the Cub Scouts and Pearland Vineyard Church Sunday school).
