Dr. Lee Peter Bee, a native of California, received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine after completing his medical training in Arizona. He received additional Master and Doctor degrees in Connecticut prior to entering medical school. He is an avid life-long learner who received his allopathic internal medicine training from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and his osteopathic internal medicine training from Firelands Regional Medical Center/Ohio University, Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.Dr. Bee is a Board Certified primary care physician – Internal Medicine with Board Eligible added qualifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Interventional Pain Management. Additionally, Dr. Bee is currently serving on committee as a Fellow at the American College of Osteopathic Internists with focus on enhancing the education and training of our future physicians, and to improve the implementation and delivery of care to the medically underserved communities within Southern Illinois and around the country.Dr. Bee has been a National Health Service Corp Scholar Physician since 2002. Furthermore, by utilizing his expertise Dr. Bee has helped to establish multiple NHSC clinics in Southern IL since moving to Sparta, IL in 2010.
