I graduated from Harvard College in 1979 and Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in 1983. I completed an Internal Medicine residency at Mercy Hospital in Chicago in 1986 serving as Chief Resident my final year. After 2 years of Cardiology fellowship at Mercy Hospital I completed a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology in 1989 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. After serving as director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Mercy Hospital I moved to Evanston Hospital in 1994 and have been a senior attending in cardiology on the staff of NorthShore University Healthcare System up until the present. Over the last several years I have developed an interest in medical informatics and have served to help improve the utilization of Electronic Health Records in my community. I am married with 4 children, an avid tennis player and exerciser and a lifelong musician with a particular interest in playing jazz piano. Besides loving the Chicago Bears, Bulls, and White Sox I enjoy talking about religion, politics, history, economics and just about anything.
