I am a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Rady Children's Hospital and a Professor of Clinical Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San DIego. I did my residency in orthopedic surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio and a Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship at UCSD in 1989. I have been a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Rady Children's Hospital since then. My clinical practice and my research have centered around the fields of cerebral palsy, pediatric and adolescent sports medicine , trauma and general pediatric orthopedic surgery. I have been the Chairman of the Orthopedic Department and Chief of Staff of Rady Children's Hospital. I am currently the director of Education, the director of the Southern California Cerebral Palsy Center and 360 Sports Medicine.
