I am from Salem, Oregon, and received my medical training at the Oregon Health Sciences University. I completed a residency in ophthalmology at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. I was fellowship-trained in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at St. Louis Children's Hospital, part of Washington University in St. Louis. I am board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. I specialize in comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus (eye muscle balance disorders) and pediatric cataracts. I am married and have two children. I am actively involved in the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and I'm a Board Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. I am on the Board of Trustees for the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and am active on several Committees of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
I have had the honor of being frequently listed as a “Top Doctor” by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.
