Very little: Unfortunately, stretch marks are scars and once there is a scar, there will always be a scar. There is no way to get rid of them but they do tend to become lighter with time.

No but it happens: Depending on the size of the stitch and the length of time present, skin can grow over sutures. It makes taking them out a little harder.
