About

Bio

I trained and practiced as a clinical anesthesiologist before undertaking a fellowship in Pain Medicine at MD Anderson in Houston. I pride myself in finding the source of painful conditions and specifically treating that source, rather than giving generalized treatments or simply masking pain with medications. I am on the board of the Texas Pain Society and am actively involved in the political aspects of our specialty at the state level. I am an avid horse rider in the English disciplines of hunter/jumper and dressage.

Specialties
Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.
