Dr. Aquino completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University and her MD at Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Boston Medical Center (Boston University) and continued as a Smithwick Fellow of Vascular Surgery, training under James Menzoian, MD. After this, Dr. Aquino went to Eastern Virginia Medical Center to do a specialized fellowship in endovascular surgery. She has been in the Bay Area since 2006 serving San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin.Dr. Aquino is board certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery. Her practice encompasses many areas of vascular surgery. Dr. Aquino specializes in endovascular surgery, minimally invasive surgery, but also performs a wide range of traditional, open vascular surgery. In addition, she has an extensive interest in venous disorders, and varicose veins. Her hospital affiliations cover San Francisco Bay Area and San Mateo. They include St. Luke's Hospital, St. Mary's Medical Center, St. Francis Memorial Hospital, and Seton Medical Center.Dr. Aquino is a member of the Seton Heart and Vascular Institute in San Mateo and the San Francisco Vein Center at St. Mary's Hospital in San Francisco. She is also a member of many medical societies, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women's Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the San Francisco Medical Society.
