BIOGRAPHY-- Steven L. Rosenblatt, M.D., Ph.D., L.Ac, is licensed as a medical doctor in California and Hawaii. He is residency trained in Family Practice at Kaiser Hospital, Riverside, California and is currently board certified in Urgent Care Medicine. He graduated with a PhD in research from UCLA and then attended the prestigious Hong Kong Acupuncture College. He was the first Westerner licensed to practice acupuncture in the U.S. Dr. Rosenblatt was the Founder and past President of the California Acupuncture College. He was the co-founder and Clinical Director of the UCLA Acupuncture Clinic and he is National Board Certified in Acupuncture. Dr. Rosenblatt was Director of Rehabilitation Services at Westside Hospital in Los Angeles where he was closely involved in the development and certification of this department. Under his direction the department, after a full on-site review, achieved full Joint Commission certification status. Dr. Rosenblatt has served on the Advisory Committee of the American Nutraceutical Association. He served as the Program Coordinator of the Complementary Medicine Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is the author of several research articles and the best selling book “The Starch Blocker Diet” published by HarperCollins. This book is now selling in the paperback edition and has been translated and published in German. Dr. Rosenblatt was previously a Board Member and Executive Vice President of StarMed Group, Inc., a publicly traded company on the OTC BB, a company that imports and manufactures vitamins, herbal medications, and nutraceuticals. Dr. Rosenblatt also served on the Advisory Committee of the American Nutraceutical Association. He is the founder and President of DoctorR Brand products, a leader in the development, manufacture, and marketing of quality vitamins, and nutritional supplements. Dr. Rosenblatt is a nationally recognized leader in the field of Integrative Medicine and his major interest is the utilization of dynamic clinical models to enhance the healthcare delivery system in the US. He maintains a busy clinical practice combining Family Practice medicine and complementary modalities at his office in West Los Angeles and his clinical practice on the Kohalla Coast of the Big Island in Hawaii. He is currently on staff at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica and on staff at North Hawaii Community Hospital, Kamuela, Hawaii.
