I had an eye infection few days ago, if i wear my contacts, can they get infected?
In brief:
Depends
EYE INFECTIONS
Usually your eye doctor will tell you when you can go back into contacts or wear eye makeup after an eye infection.
This is why you should have an eye doctor diagnose you first since there are many conditions that can appear with similar symptoms as an infection, but turn out to be a more serious condition.

Every time I go for an eyetest within the same time period, I get different astigmatism and axis corrections on my script. Why is it not consistent
?
In brief:
Depends
ASTIGMATISM
NORMAL MENSTRUAL BLEEDING
FEMALE HEALTH
When you say same time period are you saying same time different year? There can be several reasons why you have a different axis on your astigmatism, i.
e., you are aging and your natural lens is contributing to the change, or your cornea is still "evolving" and this would explain the change in axis. You question is a little too broad to give a specific answer. Please be more specific.

How quick to recover after corneal foreign body injury?
In brief:
48 to 72 hrs
FOREIGN OBJECT IN THE EYE
FOREIGN BODY
Depending on the size, depth and cause of the foreign body injury will determine how long it takes to heal.
Some foreign bodies can be removed with a simple cotton tip, others may require a "burr" or small drill to remove the foreign body. I will usually put my patients on antibiotic drops for 3-5 days after removing the foreign body to prevent an infection.

In brief:
Several Options
ABRASIONS
DRY EYES
Restasis is an standard treatment for dry eye syndrome (des), but there are other treatments depending on the underlying cause(s) of your des.
Some moderate to severe cases of DES can be caused by autoimmune diseases such as lupus, sjogrens, rheumatoid arthritis to name a few. It's important for your eye doctor to establish the cause of your des.

If someone has cataracts how quickly does he need cataract surgery?
In brief:
Depends
CATARACTS
CATARACT REMOVAL SURGERY
SURGERY
Once the cataracts are "visually significant", i.
e., your vison can no longer be improved with glasses or contacts then it's time to consider surgery to remove them. Most patients will begin to notice significant "glare" with oncoming headlights or even avoid driving at night. Talk to your eye surgeon. He or she can give you an idea of how advanced your cataracts are and a timeline on eye surgery.

我的红眼病是因为什么得的?病毒或细菌,但你怎么区别它们呢?

BACTERIA
PINK EYE (VIRAL CONJUNCTIVITIS)
Traditionally "pink eye" is a viral infection and it is highly contagious.
You should wash your hands frequently and use a hand sanitizer. You can be contagious for 10-14 days after contracting the virus and can reinfect yourself if you are not careful. Viral infections usually produce "watery" discharge whereas a bacterial infection produces "pus". See your eye doctor for the diagnosis.

How can I help dry eyes? Visine?
In brief:
Lubricating drops
DRY EYES
VISINE
There are several causes of dry eye and just as many treatments.
A good place to start is to use a good lubricating drop. I recommend systane balance. This is an over the counter lubricating drop and is very effective. There are also prescription drops such as restasis, but this is a medication that requires a prescription from your eye doctor.

对于使用滴剂有问题的睑缘炎年长患者,最好的治疗方法是什么?
In brief:
Eyelid scrubs
EYELID INFLAMMATION (BLEPHARITIS)
EYELID SWELLING
For my patients with blepharitis i recommend a regimen of daily lid scrubs using either liquid cetaphil facial cleanser for gentle skin or ocusoft scrubs(pretreated towelettes) and warm compresses.
If the blepharitis is severe then i will prescribe an antibiotic/steroid combination drop or ointment and occasionally an oral antibiotic like periostat (doxycycline). The key treatment is the lid hygiene.
