Doctor Urman, board certified in cardiovascular diseases and echocardiography is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and American Society of Echocardiography, and has practiced since 1994 at Cedars-Sinai. He is recognized for compassion and empathy toward patients and outstanding teaching of trainees. He was the inaugural Medical Director of the Heart Center and a former Clinical Chief of Cardiology of the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute and is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UCLA’s School of Medicine. Urman was one of "America's Top Physicians and "America's Top Cardiologists" multiple times since 2003 (Consumer's Research Council) and has been named by his peers to the "Super Doctors" list for the 4th year in a row as listed in Los Angeles Magazine. He has many peer-reviewed publications and has been an invited lecturer internationally.
