Stanley H. Weiss, MD has been on the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) faculty since 1987, where he is Professor of Preventive Medicine and Community Health at the New Jersey Medical School and of Quantitative Methods at the School of Public Health. Dr. Weiss is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Medical Oncology, and a fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and the American College of Physicians. He graduated from Yale (1974, BA, summa cum laude) and Harvard Medical School (1978, MD).
Dr. Weiss is the Community Liaison Physician of the UMDNJ Newark Oncology Program and Cancer Center to the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. He is Chair of the Joint Policy Committee of the Societies of Epidemiology and of the Epidemiology Section of the NJ Public Health Association, and past chair of the Epidemiology Section and past vice-chair of the Science Board of the American Public Health Association.
