Bio
A native of Baltimore, Maryland Dr. Zisow is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1974 and after residency training at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore he served two years active duty in the United States Air Force as an obstetrician and gynecologic surgeon. For more than twenty nine years he has been in private practice in Harford County. Dr. Zisow was the Chief of the Section of Gynecology at Fallston General Hospital for many years. He was involved in the Department of OB/GYN at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center with a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic and uro-gynecologic surgical techniques. On November 1, 2005, Dr. Zisow was appointed "Gynecologist and Associate Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery" at Northwest Hospital Center (NWH) in Baltimore County. He is actively involved in developing a post graduate fellowship at NWH to train gynecologists in minimally invasive gynecologic techniques. He has been a presenter at the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists annual meetings in Las Vegas, Nevada and he is a consultant to the American Medical Systems, J J Ethicon, and Smith & Nephew Companies.
