Dr. Kevin Orlando Griffiths is Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and earned his medical degree and masters in public health in health policy and administration at the University of Medicine and Dentistry – New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Griffiths completed his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship training at the same institution.
Dr. Griffiths is a Fellow with the American Society of Nephrology, an honorship for those who have distinguished themselves through excellence in practice or research. Additionally, he was selected to serve on the council of Practicing Nephrology Group for the American Society of Nephrology to provide recommendations for clinical care to nephrologists throughout the United States. Dr. Griffiths has been recognized as one of “America’s Top Physicians” for 2009, 2010, 2011 in nephrology by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Currently, Dr. Griffiths is a partner in the nephrology practice of Metro Renal Associates. He has been practicing at hospitals in the District of Columbia and Maryland area since 2008. He specializes in treating patients inflicted with chronic kidney disease, difficult to control hypertension, lupus nephritis and renal stones. Additionally, Dr. Griffiths provides clinical instruction to medical students and internal medicine residents at Providence Hospital in the District of Columbia.
