I have an old whiplash injury from years ago and my neck has crunching noises when I move it. Should I be concerned?
If painful, yes: Crunching noises may mean there is some degenerative arthritis in the neck, which occurs more likely in joints that have been previously lnjured, or knees and hips of obese people which are bearing the brunt of every step. Maybe: The injury usually occurs in a car when someone is hit from behind and is restrainted by the seatbelt. That type of neck movement would be less likely on a motorcycle, but it might be possible. Neck injuries can occur in motor cycle accidents. ...Read more

If this persists longer than a few days, consider seeing your doctor for stronger medications to help. Typically most people get better within a few weeks of an injury. Can a whiplash injury make you prone to migraines? After this injury I'm now super sensitive to headaches as a side effect of various meds.
