What could cause self injurious behavior during pms?

What could cause self injurious behavior during pms?

Neurotransmitters: Pms appears to be linked to changes in brain chemistry (neurotransmitters) that are caused by normal changes in blood concentrations of estrogen and Progesterone (female hormones) that occur during the menstrual cycle. Low levels of serotonin occur and cause you to feel a sense of desperate urgency (something is terribly wrong) when in fact nothing is wrong. See your doctor for help. ...Read more

According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Can fast sex shaken up or harm the developing fetus...cause any problems? Brain, etc? Sexual positions, speed, intensity are factors?

NO: Having sex will not affect the baby. Use common sense of course and i would not have severe rough sex as repetitive trauma to the cervical area, may irritate your internal vaginal structures and thus cause possible problem with your pregnancy, BUT, in general, having sex will not affect the growing baby. As you get farther along, late in the 3rd Trimester, discuss with your OB/GYN. Best wishes. ...Read more

Besides the obvious risks, is there any harm caused to an unborn child by riding a motorcycle (vibrations) while pregnant (first trimester)?

Besides the obvious risks, is there any harm caused to an unborn child by riding a motorcycle (vibrations) while pregnant (first trimester)?

Unlikely to matter: Once your placenta has a firm attachment in the uterine wall, the developing embryo/fetus is well protected against repetitive vibrations. I have had mom's teach their jazercise class for the balance of pregnancy & never miss a beat. Occasional mom's with an unstable pregnancy, odd placental attachment or other issue may be advised to maintain a quiet lifestyle, but that is an exception. ...Read more

"cell memory" for past trauma? Can a body actually remember pain from 3-5 yrs? Had severe pain during a flashback of sex abuse..

Yes: Your body can "remember" past trauma even from childhood. It may not come in the form of coherent, conscious statements but would be more likely in the form of symptoms like body pain. Muscle tension and even habitual physical postures can happen too. Hopefully you're working in psychotherapy with someone familiar with somatic experiencing, emdr, and cognitive processing.
