I need ideas of where a good place to begin an exercise program after a serious car accident. It has been 2 years with permanent injuries and crps.

Training: I recommend a good Physical Therapist who are trained to assess limitations and therapeutically develop a treatment program to treat them. Many personal trainers are great but starting with a good PT would be a great beginning. Ideally acquiring a workout program you could do at home or anywhere would be ideal to remain consistent with workouts. don't be in a rush. Progress over urgency! ...Read more

Is alternative treatment safe or will it cause more harm than benefit? I am a 90% rated disabled vet due to a traumatic brain injury i recieved in the military which led to seizures, cluster headaches, and a miserable quality of living on high dose narcot

Definition check: Do you mean complementary alternative medicine? This may not help very much with cluster headaches and seizures. Alternatives to narcotics though would be appropriate and probably more helpful. What are these alternatives? There are about 15 treatments to prevent seizures, if you needed them, and there are about 5-6 treatments to control cluster headaches. Hope that helps! ...Read more

How long does it take for a torn ligament or tendon to heal in the upper to middle of the back? Bad motorcycle accident on 8/17/2013. Hit by trooper!

Months: It can take a long time to heal torn ligaments, especially in areas like the back that you really can't give full rest to. Think of football players that get turf-toe and it bothers them the entire season - it's very similar. I would highly recommend physical therapy if not doing it. Can help you with alternative ways to sit/move/lie to reduce stress on that area of back. ...Read more

Accidently more weight put on my ACL reconstructed knee..Lost balance..Din fall bt felt terrible..No pain..Took painkiller prior to dat.Nothing wrong?

Probably Okay: I allow my acl reconstructions to bear full weight afterwards (except if a meniscal repair or other ligaments were repaired) so it is unlikely that you sustained an injury by putting too much weight on your leg. If the leg swelled up or is causing pain, that would be a bad sign. If you have that , you should see your surgeon for evaluation. ...Read more
