Can a dexamethasone injection in the gluteus muscle for rotator cuff injury make shoulder pain worse?

Can a dexamethasone injection in the gluteus muscle for rotator cuff injury make shoulder pain worse?

This is not likely : Be a hip or sacroiliac issue as the opposite would be occuring. This sounds most likely to be a high lumbar disc herniation at l3-4 or l2-3 or possibly a far lateral disc herniation at l4-5. You need to see a physician. ...Read more

I have an inflammation in the Maximus gluteus muscle caused by a 2 year old ski fall. Recently I am in so much pain! What can I do?

Get an evaluation: Have you gotten an MRI of that area? Probably the best way would be to consult an orthopedic doctor first, who would get the imaging study best suited to make the correct diagnosis first. Presuming that's what it turns out, a trial of intensive OT/PT, heat application etc. would be ideal to alleviate the discomfort. Feel better? ...Read more
