Can a bleed in the brain develop days after injury from fall?

Can a bleed in the brain develop days after injury from fall?

Yes: Sub-acute bleeding by definition is bleeding that occurs 3 -21 days after the injury or fall. I do not know the frequency of these types of bleeds but they do occur. Thus, after any head injury, even if rhe acute ct or MRI scan is negative, the patient needs to be watched for a few weeks afterward by family and friends and follow up with their primary doctor for rechecks. ...Read more

Baby w/ helmet rolled out of laundry basket onto the tile floor, landed on her face, has fat lip, bleeding lip stopped she seems ok. Brain injury? Er?

Difficult question: Difficult question due to knot enough facts known. It is always safest to have a baby with concern of a head injury to be assessed at er. That being said, no loss of consciousness, no vomiting, did not hit head, more than likely okay. However, if prior bleed or head injury, this increases chances of further injury. Difficult for us to say from this side of the computer, but safe is better. ...Read more

Probably ok: Alcohol is a mildly toxic to the brain, but as long as you're not having seizures or significant cognitive or behavioral problems from your brain injury, there does not appear to be any particular risk to drinking in moderation. Probably should double check with your doctor to be sure. ...Read more

The : The good news is that there was no bleeding found in your brain or areas that are damaged due to lack of oxygen. Mild traumatic brain injury is a fancy way to say concussion. A concussion is defined as the result of the forceful motion of the head or impact causing a brief change in mental status or loss of consciousness for less than 30 minutes. Common symptoms include: fatigue headaches visual disturbances memory loss poor attention/concentration sleep disturbances dizziness irritability emotional disturbances depression seizures an important thing to note, is that these symptoms may not be present or noticed at the time of injury. It could take days or even weeks before any symptoms appear, and usually go unnoticed. There is nothing to worry about, you will be just fine. Take care. ...Read more

What symptoms of brain bleeding are the most common?

Brain bleeding: This is entirely dependent upon the location of the bleeding and the site of the bleeding. For example, you can have quite a large bleeding in the front of the brain on one side and the only symptom might be headache (or even no symptoms). Will you have symptoms if you are bleeding in the brain when you are sleeping?

Maybe, maybe not: It is possible to have a slow venous bleed that will go unnoticed until the pressure builds up to the point that you have the worst headache of your life in the middle of the night. If it is a sudden arterial bleed, and you survive, you will be fortunate if you wake up, feel the sudden pain, the loss of nerve function, and live long enough to call the ambulance and get to the hospital for surgery. ...Read more

What are the symptoms of brain bleeding? Are headaches, ringing ears, red eye related? (I was in a car accident didn't hit my head, just back&forth)

Usual sypmtoms are stiff neck and severe headaches, and confusion. I mean severe! There maybe bleeding from the ear. But ringing and red eye not so clearly related. ...Read more
