Breast rash: The bruise is probably from scratching the itchiness on the breast. Have it evaluated to be sure there is nothing going on within your breast that is making it itchy. Otherwise, it may be some eczema or other topical skin rash. ...Read more

Sudden bruising on arm. Red, hurts when pressed on it. Appeared suddenly. No injury or trauma. Help?

Get a blood test: Sudden bruising without injury should be investigated with a complete blood cell count. This will include a platelet count as well as red blood cells and white blood cells. Start with your primary doctor, for the blood test. He/she may send you to a hematologist if the test indicates and abnormality. Or maybe you just are an aggressive sleeper. Stinging pain in vein on hip 3 days. No discoloration or temp difference. No bruise/trauma. Hurts when I sit/apply pressure. Should I be concerned?

Stinging pain in vein on hip 3 days. No discoloration or temp difference. No bruise/trauma. Hurts when I sit/apply pressure. Should I be concerned?

Plan: You do not have history of trauma, bruises, and pain is on while you sit or press locally. If it right you can use some cream for muscle pain for 3-5 days. Check your physical activity and do not overuse some exercise, related to this muscle. No needs to be concerned, most likely it is muscle pain. ...Read more

Damage control.: Don't kid yourself, almost everything you do causes some sort of trauma to your body. Thankfully the vast majority of the trauma is microscopic in size. Your body is able to deal with the damage without incidence and in all likely-hood you would not even notice the reparative processes taking place. Your bruise is an indication that the trauma was there but not severe enough to notice. ...Read more

I have a bruise in the middle of my collarbone and there is a bump. I haven't had any recent trauma to the area. What could have caused it?

Some sort of minor -: Trauma must have occured, like bumping into something, without realizing it when happened. Any history of drinking? Any meds you are on, like aspirin, which in some people can cause bruising? If there is a fx, then it might have been due to a weakened bone from a cyst, that broke, from day to day activities, resulting in a bruise, bump. I am sure that would be rather painful. See an orthopod. ...Read more

3 days ago,back right of head hurts,like a bruise/achy feeling,especially when pressed.Now,only hurts when pressed.No recent trauma.Possible causes?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

My son has been limping since yesterday. There are no visible bruises, or cuts. With no known trauma. What should I do?

Hard to say: You provided no important info such as age, fever or activity level.I'll guess this applies to a younger preschool kid, from your age. Some of these just came down wrong on their hip when horsing around and have a little fluid in the joint space, which will gradually improve. Some can have a bone bruise that would not be visible. If fever, swelling or poor activity, have him seen.If not, monitor. ...Read more
