Rolled ankle during basketball - no ankle pain- but immediate pain around base of fifth metatarsal. No swelling/bruising but hurts to bear weight.

Rolled ankle during basketball - no ankle pain- but immediate pain around base of fifth metatarsal. No swelling/bruising but hurts to bear weight.

5th met base: the peroneal tendon attaches to the 5th met base area. In some severe ankle sprain cases the tendon can pull hard enough to fracture the bone- adulation fracture. Go see your local podiatrist or foot and ankle dr ...Read more

Chance of dvt pain behind knee no swelling or heat or redness?

Dvt: Localized pain behind the knee is not very common as a symptom of deep vein thrombosis. However doing a venous duplex ultrasound (Doppler-sonography) would identify and clarify this issue.
