I have a bruise on my shin and it is turning yellow but still has 2 lumps and hurts to the touch. Is it possible to be a blood clot?
No: The bumps you are feeling are most likely the bruise resolving. When you have significant bruising in the skin, you do have some bleeding and the bloood will clot, just like it does for a cut. In the skin, it becomes tender and sore. This will resolve with time. It is not the type of clot that will travel. If you have pain in the calf or feel short of breath, go to the ER. ...Read more
Two lumps mid left shin. Painful to touch and use. Present for 3-4 weeks. Visible raising of skin. No injury that I recall. Blood clot?
Uncertain: Very wide range of possibilities here from deep bruise to localized vein thrombus to a process called erythema nodosum- inflammation related usually to a medicine or immune reaction. The duration for 3-4 weeks means that if it is not improving, you should see your primary care physician and have them look at it. ...Read more
I've just been to doctor who said my blood pressure is fine. I still have calf pain, shin pain and thigh pain. Could this be a blood clot?
See below: Dvt is the term i believe you're referring to as a blood clot. Usual presentation will involve calf pain and swelling that is progressively unbearable. A screening test for this is called a venous doppler. This can be ordered by your medical physician .Usually a good thorough history and physical is able to rule out this condition. Go back to your medical doctor or seek out an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation. I would do this as soon as possible like tomorrow good luck thank you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Noticed a bruise next to shin and swelling around it. Is this just a bruise or could be a blood clot?
Not a blood clot: Blood clots (the BAD deep venous kind) occur behind the tibia or shin bone within the deep vasculature. Your bruising is more likely due to more direct type trauma with expected local swelling. The hematoma can take several weeks to resolve. a protective wrap may be all that is needed to avoid recurrent injury to the tender area. If pain persists longer than that, orthopaedic evaluation is needed. ...Read more
Could a painless bump on the shin be a blood clot? If so could it be linked to or a symptom of dvt?
Unlikely: A bump in the shin area could be the result of injuring oneself, or a fatty tumor. One can develop a bump from Superficial thrombopheblitis that can occur in the anterior leg, but would most likely be painful.
